What Medias Are YOU Using? Vicki Irvin

Hey Superwoman! Greetings from sunny LA! I am sitting poolside at my friend’s house in the Valley. This trip started off with me attending my Millionaire Protégé Club Mastermind with Ali Brown. It was awesome being in the room with other successful entrepreneurs. We talked about our successes and our failures and we helped each other go to the next level. Very inspiring and refreshing, I literally feel like a new woman. I am headed back to the East coast today, time to go home and see what damage my husband and son have done to my house!

Last week we talked about figuring out who your target market is. I am thrilled to have received so many emails from ladies who realized they had been marketing to the wrong audience and actually did the exercise I gave them and have made changes. Many of them have redirected their efforts and have made sales based off of that one minor tweak. I told you it makes all the difference in the world, just nailing down YOUR target market!

Today I want for you to take a look at the medias you are using to advertise your business. That could be your website, ads you place in papers, radio ads and even social medias like facebook and twitter (which everyone should be using). Do you know if these medias are working for you? Do you know where your clients and sales are converting from? As a business owner it is your job to know where very single sale you get is coming from. If you don’t track this information, how will you know what is working and what is not? For example…if you are using an ad in a magazine and running ads on the radio, wouldn’t you want to know where your clients were coming from? What if all the sales were coming from the radio and the ad wasn’t working? Wouldn’t you then want to take the money from the ad that wasn’t working and put it into more radio ads that were working? If you did that then you will have just increased the number of sales you get! But you won’t know unless you are tracking very closely.

Further, are you sure the medias that use are targeting the right people? If I had a product geared towards senior citizens, I wouldn’t want to try to market to them using on-line medias. Why? Because market research says that there are still not a lot of seniors who use the internet. Although the number is growing, it isn’t enough for me to spend marketing dollars on that particular media to reach them.

This week I want for you to write down all the medias you are using to advertise. Do these medias match your target market? If not, it’s time to make some changes! For the first three people who send me the list of medias they are using for marketing their product/services, I will take a look at their business and give them some ideas that can increase their client base immediately. Boy, this LA sunshine must be getting to me! Get to work Superwoman, these are critical steps in your business and they are the same steps I used to create my own multi-million dollar business!

Have you found time in your busy schedule to work out? I sure hope so! Let’s face it…we can’t be as productive as we want to if we don’t feel good. Working out gives us the energy we need to work to maximum capacity and handle all that comes our way. Last week I urged you to begin thinking about working out as a normal part of your routine the same way we think about work and eating. It’s a mindset and once you get it down, it will be easy for you.

While I have been here in LA the past week, I have been to the gym continuing on with my routine. Just because I go out of town does not mean I use it a way to slack on working out. Gyms are everywhere so I don’t give myself any excuses. And when I don’t go to the gym, I can still run, walk and do body weight exercise. I have also continued to eat healthy while allowing myself a cheat day so I don’t feel deprived!

Remember this…besides the physical results we like from working out, the energy levels and health aspect is just as important. There is no way I would be able to achieve all that I do if I did not work out. I would be too tired and so my business would suffer and so would my family life. That’s not an option!

I have been away from my family for a week here in LA. While I enjoy the peace and quiet, I miss them. My son has a loose tooth and he is only 4! He told me his dad took him to the dentist and the x-rays show he has “big boy teeth coming in. It’s definitely early for him to be getting big boy teeth already!

Juggling and balancing family life with work is a challenge, isn’t it? And for the moms who are single I have so much respect for you too. A single mom sent me an email last week about her struggles with raising her son alone while running her own business. For a long time she felt so guilty about trying to make money while giving quality time to him as well. She was writing to thank me for suggesting “chunking her time. She said she sat down with her son and explained what she was trying to do for him and how she was working hard to give him a better life. She suggested to him that he pick a couple of days out of the week that they can do something together uninterrupted, pure focus time. She said he picked Tuesdays and Fridays and was so excited about their new schedule. He even started writing down activities and things for them to do. But the best part was when he gave her a big hug and thanked her for taking such good care of him and working so hard. I am so happy to hear stories like this! The guilt she was feeling has been lifted by simply carving out set times and explaining to her son why she worked so hard. Always include your family and keep them informed of your goals and why you are working so hard. You will find that they will often be your biggest champions and supporters!

Vicki Irvin formerly a human resources executive, quit her 9-5 job to become a real estate investor. She created a multi-million dollar real estate coaching business in 12 months by applying marketing strategies and techniques that many have never even heard of. After being asked by women nationally how she managed to juggle a successful business, tend to her family and stay in such great shape, she decided to teach her blueprint for total balance to other women through Superwoman Lifestyle.
