Vicki Irvin-Some Things Just NEVER Change! Maryland Real Estate Investing

I am officially sick! I am in the bed right now. But in the grand scheme of things, it’s just a bad cough, it could be much worse. Every time I start to get down about something, I realize things could be so much worse. I will not complain about a cough when other people are REALLY sick, its helps put things in perspective for me. So I will survive.

Guess what I did yesterday after my live radio broadcast with Heaven 1580? I went to my old job for a meeting with the ‘EX�. In this case my EX is my ex-boss!! I went to help him with some ideas he has for his business. It was weird to walk through the doors of a place you used to work and now you don’t have to stay there for 8 hours! I felt like a visitor and that was just fine with me!! But it was great to see old co-workers. Some of them started to talk to me about issues on the job and I had to stop them. I was not there as Vicki their HR Director, I was there as Vicki, the Real Estate Investment Queen and Business Woman, back to help THEIR boss on taking his business to the next level. But it was nice to be missed!

But more importantly, the visit to my old office showed me how much things in an office environment rarely change. People are still grumbling about their jobs and how they wish they could find a new opportunity, I get this from my friends all the time too. But I need for people to understand something. Leaving one job to go to another is not going to solve any issues. EVERY place you go to work will have it’s own set of problems and office politics, there is NO escaping that. There will still be jealous and conniving people and the pay increases and benefits will never be enough. So all that you are doing when you change jobs in most cases, is leaving one place of drama for another. I had to learn this as well.

My remedy was to realize I had to do my own thing. I had to take my future and my sanity into my own hands. And that is when I turned to real estate investing. It is so wonderful to be able to work the way that I please and devise my own schedule, and more importantly answer to myself. I love being able to spend more time with my family and making sure I do not lose sight of who I am.
