I am about to break out of my house with my 5 year old son, we have been locked up sheltered from the Blizzard, but I can’t take it anymore! We are going to go sledding and just enjoy being outside! I was supposed to have a live event tonight where I have almost 1,000 people registered to come out and see me, but I had to postpone it until next week due to the weather! If you were hit by the storm, I hope stayed safe, but if you live in a warmer climate then boy do I envy you right now!

Yup, it’s true! Nobody cares all that much about you have to say about yourself, it is all about what others have to say about you! Once you grasp this concept you will quickly realize how important it is to constantly capture great testimonials from your clients…with video! One of my mentors James Malinchak tells us all the time ABA…ALWAYS BE MARKETING! Serious entrepreneurs will whip out a flip camera ANYWHERE and start filming things to promote their business. If you are shopping in Walmart and someone walks up to you and says, “hey Susie! I used your product and boy was it awesome.� What would YOU do? Wanna know what I would do? Well, I would say, “Great Susie, mind saying that one more time for me on my flip camera?�

When your products or services provide great value to others, they become raving fans, and raving fans help promote your business. Gathering great testimonials should be a consistent and important component of your business. I remember going to my friend John Hall’s spa in Virginia. John has studied marketing for his business under my husband and I for years. Well when I tried to leave his Spa he literally blocked my path with his flip camera and told me it was time for a testimonial! Imagine the horror, of having just got a facial and having on no make-up with a video right in your face! (not cute) But what could I do, as a business owner he was doing his job and even bigger than that, I taught him to always do it!

See you can spend all day talking about how great your product or service is, but potential clients or customers don’t want to hear it from only you, they want to know what other people who have tried your stuff feel about it. Does it really work? Does it work well? What were the benefits? That is called social proof. Without it, you are at a disadvantage because people just will not be convinced if you yourself are your only raving fan.

See, even a BAD video is better than no video at all. You don’t need to be a trained videographer, flip cameras are so easy, even my 5 year old son knows how to operate it! It is a PROVEN FACT that using great video and video testimonials in your marketing will increase your sales conversions by leaps and bounds. So if you are not using video to market your business, you are behind the times and you are leaving money on the table! So if you do not have a flip camera, it is the best investment you can make! If do have one, but have been lax in using it, then dust it off and get busy!
