Are You Consistent? Tell the Truth!

I get sooooo many emails on a daily basis from people asking for help on their business or even with a business idea. People cite everything from lack of time to a lack of money as the reason they are not progressing forward with their business goals. And guess what? Nine times out of ten those are merely excuses masking the REAL root of the problem. Guess what that problem is??? A lack of CONSISTENCY!

Most of us do a million things thoughout the course of the day. Most of us are strapped for time trying to balance work and family and everything else in between. So that is the norm and none of us is really doing anything special or out of the ordinary where that is concerned. So let’s eliminate that excuse.

Often times, it simply boils down to being consistent with what it is you wish to accomplish. You know how it is… day you wake up and work full force on your goals and then the next day…..NOTHING. You become distracted. And then it takes another few weeks for you to wake up again and work on your goals. It’s like an emotional rollercoaster. And operating this way, will quickly leave you discouraged and demotivated because you will feel you will never accomplish your goals and eventually you will just give up.

The goal should be to committing yourself to working on whatever it is you are trying to do CONSISTENTLY in chunks of time you set aside dedicated to this project. And nothing should come between you and this precious time you set aside.

We are able to do that in other areas of our life without even thinking about it. No matter how busy some people are, they dedicate their Sundays or day of worship to going to church. We set aside time to spend with our kids and family because that time is sacred and you know it is needed to nurture your relationships. We eat at certain intervals throughout the day like clock work because we have to do that to live. So we have the ABILITY to be disciplined in certain areas which means we can apply that to anything we want bad enough. This concept works for working out and exercising, just as it does for our business and career goals.

So my point is this. Before giving up on your projects and goals, try to be more consistent in taking steps towards achieving them. Work on them every day like your life depends on it, and watch how much progress you begin to make. YOU CAN DO IT!

Have a GREAT Wednesday and Keep Climbing!!! Let me know your comments below, I want to know what you think!

This is SO true. I work on something everyday, whether it’s listening to self improvement audios, reading, and maintaining some type of progress. I do fing myself OVER duing things, and neglecting my relationships sometimes, becasue I want my buisness to succeed so bad….

I need to create balance.

The bad thing about this is: I have this burning desire to succeed, and know whenever I do become more consistence in my actions things will change. I will overcome this. With God, and persistence everything is possible.

Not being consistent has been a problem for me. Now I am working on looking at my goals on a daily basis to keep the picture in mind as to what my goals are by being consistent in just doing one thing as planned. So far, it is working. It did take a lot of disappointments by not being consistent to get mad or determined enough to make it work right!
