[E-VOLVE] Sales without the SLEAZE! Vicki Irvin


My mother is so funny. She called and woke me up this morning all excited because she saw me on Lifetime TV, they were running the previews for my segment that is airing tomorrow. Don’t forget to watch me on “The Balancing Act” airing on Lifetime Television March 2nd.  The show comes on 7:00am -8:00am EDT and 6:00-7:00am CST, so check your local listings.  If you can’t make the show, hopefully you can DVR and record it!  I am urging you to watch it not because of me, but because the show is about Superwoman Lifestyle and my mission to encourage women to profit from their true passions.  The more women I can help, the stronger we ALL become!  Hope you tune in!

Market Your Biz

I received an email from a woman who is excited to be launching her own business, but petrified about having to sell and market herself.  Sales and marketing remains one of the top roadblocks for entrepreneurs, it makes people so uncomfortable!  I get it, I really do.  Selling has a negative connotation to it due to all those unscrupulous and unethical people portrayed on TV.

But when you believe in what you do, and you believe you have something great to share with the world, it truly is your job as an entrepreneur to get the word out to the universe about what you have to offer. The more people who know about you, the more people you will be able to help and affect change. Listen, if you don’t exude confidence in what you do, how can you expect someone else to believe in you? People want to see that YOU believe in yourself before they will even think about taking a chance on you.

Sales and marketing don’t have to be hard when you change your mind-set on how you approach the process.  Knowing your target market, knowing your ideal client and all their hot buttons, helps you to deliver the right message that really hits home with them.  Your message will be clear, the benefits apparent and your delivery will be perfect and filled with the winning confidence that prospects want to see.

If you don’t believe sales and marketing strategies are a must have, then you are going to have a rough road ahead of you. Doesn’t matter how great your product or service is, your business will not flourish until you learn the RIGHT way of attracting a prospect, building rapport with a prospect, converting a prospect to a client, and then retaining your client so that they become a customer for life.
