Who are you trying to market your business to? I can guarantee a few things here. If you have a business that is not thriving when you know you have a great product or service, there could be a couple of reasons. One you are marketing to the wrong people/market. Two, you are marketing to people who cannot pay you, or three you don’t have any traffic or ways of attracting clients.
Let’s get one thing straight. Marketing your business the old fashion way like using business cards, and flyers is not going to cut it. Getting caught up in flashy company names, websites and logos doesn’t equate to revenue. You have GOT to drive traffic to your business either on or off-line and preferably both. How are your prospects finding you? When they do a google search for your product, does your company name appear on line? If it does, what position is it in? How many times have you searched for something you are interested in on line and clicked on the first or second company to appear in the search results? Wouldn’t it be great to have your company appear in that position so people could click on you? Of course it would.
How about your blogs? Do you know how to utilize a blog the proper way to drive traffic to your site? It’s way more than just writing an article, it’s using the proper settings and using the write words.
At first many of these things may be confusing and foreign, but once learned you will reap the rewards, trust me. I had to learn all of these things in order to grow my businesses to the level I have. Most people don’t have a clue how to perform various marketing strategies things which means once YOU do, you will set yourself apart with a competitive edge.
Let’s start slowly, go and set yourself up with a WordPress Blog (F’r’e’e) and start writing content on your product or service to position yourself as an expert. Okay, is this you? Do you want to work out, but you can’t visualize the results or think it will just take too long to reach your goal so you don’t bother? I know that I can be impatient when I want to achieve a goal and I want results like….yesterday. So I have to mentally prepare myself to have patience and realize the most important thing is just getting started. And when I see minor changes it pushes me even further. Today, I want you to do something, anything that switches up your routine as it pertains to fitness. Stop eating red meat for a month and stick to fish, watch how quickly you see those results! If you have been walking on the treadmill up your pace/speed and incline and watch how you see those results. If you are lifting weights, instead of reaching for 15lb weights, grab the 20’s for your next set. Just like in business, you have always got to push yourself to higher heights. Minor tweaks in your routine make all the difference in the world!
Do you have a designated family or friend day? My life is super busy. My husband and I have schedules that are out of this world. What works best for us is scheduling a family day. There has got to be some sacred time you take for yourself and loved ones or things will fall apart. Trust me I know, been there done that! Life isn’t any fun when you get so caught up you miss the small things that matter. You cannot take money with you to the grave and although it is the oldest sayings in the book, money cannot make you happy. You can have all the money in the world and still be miserable when you lack self-fulfillment and meaningful relationships. At the end of the day, we are all humans with the same basic needs, no matter how much money is in the bank! So find a good balance and enjoy!
